Eulychnia castanea cv. varispiralis | One & Only | B
Eulychnia castanea naturally grows along the coast of Chile, but this varispiralis version only exists in cultivation. This cactus is easy to care for, but cannot handle a frost. There is a lot of variation that can occur in the same plant, even along the same column. The most common form is monstrose - a lumpy bumpy texture. Less common is the spiral form, with beautiful smooth spirals forming.
