This is a crested Echinopsis hybrid, likely of Schick origin but exact parentage is unknown. The body forms tight, undulating crests in a deep red tone, with fine white spines lining the ridges, giving it a brain-like appearance. Growth is compact and sculptural, with a dense form that holds its shape well.
Best grown in bright filtered light with excellent drainage. Water thoroughly in active growth, then let dry out between waterings. Protect from excess moisture in winter. Flowers may or may not appear, and color is unknown.
