These succulents have thick, fleshy leaves that come in various shapes, such as spoon-shaped, finger-like, and tubular, often featuring round-chubby or elongated textures. Cotyledon flowers are tubular and bloom in vibrant clusters of pink, orange, or yellow. They are easy to propagate from stem cuttings and are fairly low-maintenance in their care needs. Historically, Cotyledon served as a 'catch-all' genus for species with tubular flowers and fused petals, however other genera such as Sedum and Crassula have now been split off.
