Coryphantha elephantidens is a low growing cactus from Mexico with a round shape. Can tolerate a light frost down to 25°F. Nothing too special about caring for these. These have spines in a lovely small star shape.

This is a cristata, which is a mutation meaning the plant grows along a line instead of a single point like a normal plant.

Shown in a 3.5" pot. You get this exact plant.

I'm worried.

Plant arrived exactly as pictures, bare root. I potted it the same day it was received in a cactus mix, barely wet, as recommended. It is rooted, unlike some of the other cactus I purchased, but it is not doing well. I is in bright sun, under shade cloth. I only water once the soil is dry about half way down the pot. I sent an email hoping to get some additional advice, but that email has gone unanswered.
