Cereus forbesii monstrose 'Ming Thing'
A classic monstrose form, Cereus forbesii ‘Ming Thing’ grows as a dense cluster of irregular, lumpy blue-green stems. The surface is smooth and sculptural, with small areoles and scattered spines adding texture across the folds. Each plant grows in its own abstract, unpredictable shape, making it a longtime favorite for fans of weird and architectural cactus forms.
‘Ming Thing’ prefers bright indirect light and can tolerate slightly lower light than most cacti. It should be protected from harsh afternoon sun, which can cause sunburn on the smooth stems. Water thoroughly when dry, using fast-draining soil, and keep it mostly dry in winter. Slow-growing and compact, it’s well-suited to container culture and easy to accommodate indoors or in part-shade setups.
