Astrophytum myriostigma v. strongylogonium/ seed grown - Bishop's Cap

This is a striking cactus renowned for its distinctive features within the Astrophytum genus. Unlike typical myriostigmas, this variety stands out with its larger, purely yellow flowers darker green stem. Younger plants up to 3-5 years have sharper ribs, which become more rounded and distinctive with age. Younger plants are hard to distinguish from other myriostigmas. Over time, horizontal furrows develop along the ribs, and the midline between adjacent ribs becomes undulated, adding to its ornamental appeal.
