Astrophytums are a tropical cactus native to a very small range in Texas and Mexico. Asterias grows as a squat disc, each covered in a unique pattern of dots. These are variegated with yellow splotches, which can shift to orange with higher light. These also feature tiny dots in addition to the big dots.
